TADs Lab

Mike was in charge of getting some pig jaws for our TADs lab. They made him buy the whole head which he then had to dissect out the mandibles. Oh how funny is that story....

Dr Banh

Dr Banh is one of our awesome Friday faculty. The funny thing is that he took over the Ortho practice of the Orthodontist who treated me. Dr Banh also treated my cousin. Small Ortho world...Here he is working up a treatment plan with George, Garrett, and Laura.

5 Guys...1 Girl

For the last few months we have been asking Dr Sameshima to go to 5 Guys. We finally had a long lunch break and made the trek which was definitely worth it.

First Break

No it's not my thumb, but one of the 2nd yr residents took a little spill on the slopes and broke her thumb. I think she was kind of excited to have a broken bone.

GORP-GRADUATE ORTHODONTIC RESIDENTS PROGRAM

We flew to Minnesota the land of 10,000 lakes for the 21st annual Graduate Orthodontic Residents Program or GORP.

Of course in Minnesota there is not too much to see. Somehow we ended up at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

There was a formal banquet Fri night.

Saturday was filled with lectures, bbq, vendor fair and most importantly the T-shirt competition.

Front of our shirt.

Back of our shirt.

If you think our shirt is bad check out the link of some other schools.

USC and UCLA working together. Of course USC is on top!

The Mall of America is the only thing Minnesota has to offer the Union.

Mike and Stefan thought they could conquer the gallon challenge.

Stefan, under his lactose intoxication, wishing he never attempted the challenge. He only made it half way. Allegedly it was is first time vomiting.

Mike was able to get it all down within the hour, but held it down for 18 seconds. I think more than a gallon came back up. I'll save you from the video.

I came away from GORP a proud winner of 100 retainer cases.
